Live Plant Delivery & Packaging

3
How do live plants survive transit without wilting or leaf damage? +
We use custom-engineered ventilated, moisture-locking packaging. Each sapling's root ball is secured with nutrient-enriched sterile coco-peat that retains moisture for 7-10 days. The sapling is firmly cradled inside heavy-duty, multi-ply corrugated boxes that prevent stem breakage, movement trauma, or suffocation during transit across India.
Which couriers do you use and how can I track my live plant parcel? +
We dispatch via premium express courier partners including Blue Dart, Delhivery Express, DTDC, and India Post Speed Post. As soon as your parcel is packed and scanned at our dispatch facility, we send the tracking number and real-time tracking link directly to your WhatsApp.
What should I do immediately upon unboxing my plants? +
1. Unbox gently in a shaded, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
2. Lightly mist the leaves and moisten the root ball with fresh room-temperature water.
3. Keep the plant in bright, indirect shade for 24 to 48 hours to recover from transit.
4. Repot into well-drained potting mix in the evening, water moderately, and allow 5-7 days before exposing to full outdoor sunlight.

Plant Care & Soil Science

3
What is the ideal potting soil mix for native Indian trees and medicinal plants? +
We recommend a well-aerated, porous potting mixture: 40% clean garden loam soil, 30% organic vermicompost or aged cow dung manure, and 30% coarse river sand or coco-peat. For arid-zone native species like Dahiman (Cordia macleodii) and Lasoda (Cordia dichotoma), ensure the container has generous drainage holes.
How frequently should I water my newly potted saplings? +
Water deeply only when the top 1.5 to 2 inches of soil feel dry to touch. Avoid frequent shallow watering or standing water in drip trays, which causes root rot. During extreme North Indian summers, water in early mornings or evenings; reduce frequency during the rainy monsoon season.
Can native trees like Dahiman and Lasoda be grown in pots on a terrace? +
Yes! During their first 2 to 3 years, both Dahiman and Lasoda saplings grow happily in 14 to 18-inch terracotta pots or grow bags. When they outgrow container bounds, they can be pruned into compact canopy trees or transplanted into the ground or large drums.

Ayurvedic Ethnobotany & Identification

2
What makes the Dahiman plant (Cordia macleodii) unique? +
Dahiman is historically revered across Indian folk medicine and tribal ethnobotany as the 'Writing Leaf Tree' (सीतापत्ता / Dahipalas). Fresh mature leaves can be inscribed upon using a blunt stylus, leaving natural silvery markings. Historically, its bark and leaves have documented traditional uses for wound healing, respiratory comfort, and venom counteraction.

We always advise consulting a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner or healthcare provider before consuming wild herbal remedies.
